Self Assesment

First of all, I would like to point out a few things about this final term.
I have learnt a lot of vocabulary thanks to Clarissa and the proyect that we made with her. It's really awesome being with a person who speaks English so good because you can learn really useful vocabulary.
Also, I have improved with my writting because of the tips and words that Cristina gave us to organize our ideas.
Furthemore, this summer I'm going to continue studying English and trying to improve some skills like my speaking.
To conclude, I have enjoyed a lot this last year here specially with all the proyects with my classmates. I'll miss them.
Enjoy the summer!
My best wishes,

María

SELF ASSESMENT SECOND TERM:

First of all, in this term I think that I have improved in lots of topics related with grammar because we practise a lot in class with exercise so that really has made the diference!
Also, I have improved in tasks related to writting because I´ve look up in diferent books and web pages to learn how to organise my ideas and to know more about useful expressions that might change completely my writtings.
Furthemore, I think that Clarisa´s classes are absolutely useful because we learn loads of things and plenty of vocabulary which is a very important part in English. Not only grammar, but also knowing how to get involved with another language and speak it with fluency it´s what make the diference in many cases.
On the other hand, I think that I need to improved the tasks related with the blog as I said in the other self assesment. To have it update and try to make it quite better! Whereas in the second term project I made a great effort and tried to make a nice and prepared presentation because, as I see it, It shows like a sumary of your work in all the term so it´s a good thing to have in mind.
To conclude, I need to work on little things such as the blog like I have said before and maybe try to improved my range of vocabulary. Next term, I will try to make the most of the English´s clasess so we can have a lot of fun but also learn a lot!

VOLLEYBAL EXERCISES:

1. Describe the volleyball court:

The field is a rectangle of 18 by 9 metres, divides by a center line, leaving two halves of 9x9               metres each. From 3 meters to the center line is located the line of attack. The 3 "zagueros" cannot     exceed or steeping the line for an attack so as to exceed the height of the network, that to say, the         zaguero players cannot jump to attack in front of that line, but they can from the ground.

2. Describe the score in volleyball:

Every time a team wins a rally, they get a point and the right to serve.A set is won when a team           gets 25 points, with two points diference over the opponent, that is to say, if the score reaches 24-       24, continuous until one team gets two points of diference. The winner of the match is the team           that wins three sets. When the two teams are tied at 2 sets, playing a fifth and final set to 15 points.     In this case, also be achieved in two points of difference.

3. Tell me two actions that you can do:

-Touch the ball with every part of your body.
-You can start the game from anywhere behind the baseline, not only from the right side of the line.

4. Tell me two actions that you cannot do:

-Two consecutive touches except after making a block, it doesn´t count as touching.
-Exceeding completely with one or both feet the center line of the field.

5. Tell me the logical order of playing:

The three basic touches toavoid the ball touches the ground of the field itself and pass to the                 oppositve field are:
-Reception/ Defense: This first touch is normally used forearm pass, although you canuse the               finger pass.
-Set up: The second pass and the setter usually performed by fingers pass, but if necessary can             also use the forearm pass.
-Smash: Normally carried out by players who are in a forward position, although it can be made           by players who are always behind them if they do not trespassing the line of attack, just three               meters from the net.

SELF-ASSESSMENT

To start with, I think that I can do lots of different things that I could´t do before, such as talking with more vocabulary and expressions, knowing how to control some topics about gramar and so on. Also, I´ve learnt some things about Arizona, where Clarisa lives and that´s great!
However, I still have had some weaknesses like how to do some tasks related with the blog or organasing my notes with the vocabulary that I´m going to post in it later.
On the other hand, I did well in speaking because is one of my favourites parts in English. You can comunicate with other people all around the world, know how to manage in different situations and places and you can travel almost wherever you want! Whereas, I need to improve some topics like    I´ve said  before like updating the blog more often or even things related with organisation.
Furthemore, I really enjoy the proyects such as the video of the song "Cant stop the feeling" because I think that you can have fun, spend time with your classmates and also learn English in different and amazing ways. Cristina plays an important role in that part because with her actitude and her way of teaching, she makes us loving English like I do!
To sum up, I need to work on some parts and try to improve them for the next term but with work and dedication, I´m sure I will achieve success. So, let´s try to make the most of the English class!
